Welcome to a new school year! I am thrilled to be teaching first graders at Shannon Elementary. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and growth! 

My name is Ashleigh Hanes. I am a graduate of the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas.  I am beginning my fourth year in education. I taught third, fourth, and fifth grade in Oglesby, Texas for two years and was a third grade interventionist in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD last year. I am excited to be joining the Rockwall ISD family!  

When I am not at school, I am typically spending time with my roommates, family, church family, and friends. I enjoy spending my free time shopping, reading, watching movies, playing guitar, hiking, skateboarding, and singing.
