Welcome to Fourth Grade

  • Welcome to 4th grade!

We believe fourth grade is an exciting time for personal and academic growth. It is considered the bridge from lower elementary to upper elementary. Students get the opportunity to rotate to different classes and manage their lockers. All fourth graders are engaged in rigorous work with writing projects, reading novels, intricate math concepts, and hands-on science and social studies projects. Some of our favorite traditions include “Starbooks,” the Texas History “Wax Museum,” coding finch robots,  competing in math games against other 4th grade math classes, and visiting the state capital for a field trip.

Overall, we are committed to helping all fourth graders thrive in and out of the classroom and to be leaders in the community. We have an open-door policy regarding communication as we partner with our families for the betterment of “our” kiddos. We send a weekly newsletter home every weekend, we use REMIND to send text notifications for important events, like upcoming tests, and we have a behavior bingo/conduct card that the students carry with them, and we like parents to check daily and initial weekly. We are thankful for the tremendous support of our families to help us in our mission. We look forward to a wonderful 2023-2024 school year!
