Health Science Clinical Students Experience UT SouthWestern!

Burton Academy Health Science Clinical students went to UT SouthWestern for a hands on experience with hospital psychiatrist and labs. "Our students went for the STARS tour with UTSW.  We visited with a staff psychiatrist about mental illness and learned how to suture.  In addition, the students spent some time physically handling organs in the willed body lab. The largest liver seen was so large it had to be stored in a huge pot for boiling crawfish and we were able to handle the digestive system intact. Tongue to rectum!  Very educational experience.
