Congratulations BPA Students

Congratulations to our BPA students at Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy!

Twenty-nine Business Professionals of America (BPA) members, representing the Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy (GBCCA) in Rockwall ISD, competed among 711 students in over 30 school BPA Chapters in the 2024 Texas Regional Leadership Conference (RLC), held Saturday, January 27, at Mesquite Vanguard High School.  

25 of 29 students are State Qualifiers, invited to compete in their respective events at the State Leadership Conference (SLC) in Corpus Christi, Feb 28- Mar 2, 2024.  Our BPA students competed in eight Individual Events, winning six medals, and producing ten State Qualifiers (SQ) and two State Alternates (SA).   Of our seven Team Events, our students won first place Gold Medals in two events and second place Silver Medals in four events, and six teams qualified for State, plus one State Alternate.   Students contested three Open Events, winning two medals.
