I love my family
I love my job

I am very positive by nature

I am fair

I follow the rules...even the tardy policy and the dress code

I believe that EVERYTHING happens for a reason, even when we don't like it or don't understand it.

My husband and I have been married for 28 years, and we have three sons who are in their 20’s.  One of them is married, and he and his wife just blessed us with their first grand baby, a precious little gir.  This is my 9th year with RISD, and I feel so fortunate to work at CMS. I love my school, my students, and my co-workers.

Teaching is a profession that I never thought I would pursue, but I'm sure glad that I did.  In 2004, I nervously decided to pursue a long-time dream of mine, to earn my college degree. That dream became a reality in May of 2007 when I earned my Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University. Originally, I did not intend to actually "USE" my degree.  I just wanted a degree to prove to myself that I was smart enough to do it. In February of 2015, I again went back to school to earn my Master in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.  I finished in August of 2016 with a 4.0 GPA.  I strongly believe that if you work hard it will pay off.

For 19 yrs I was a stay at home mom and wife, and I still think that was my most important job. I feel very blessed that I have another job where I earn money doing something that I feel is the second most important job, and that is teaching my students.

I really look forward to working with my students and parents to achieve success.

The best way to contact me is through email. Please let me know if you have any concerns for your child or if there is something going on personally that I need to be aware of. I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year.
