Welcome!  I am excited to be in my third year of teaching ACE at RHS!  Before coming to RHS, I taught Special Education for two years, and before that, elementary music and art for six years.  I feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with our amazing ACE students and with the wonderful teachers, staff and administration at RHS.  

Before graduating from Texas Tech University and moving to Dallas, I grew up in San Antonio.  After working in the interior design industry for two years after college, I felt called to change careers and go into education, which ultimately led me to teaching Special Education.  After getting married (to a RHS alum!) I moved to Rockwall and eventually got the job I have now!  I am passionate about providing a fun and safe learning environment for all my students, and helping them to learn skills they need to be successful after high school.  Along with teaching, I am also the sponsor for the Best Buddies chapter at RHS.

When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, friends, and playing with our pet Welsh Terrier and Netherland Dwarf bunnies.  My husband and I enjoy getting outdoors, preferably the mountains or a river or lake somewhere, whenever we can.  We love fly fishing, kayaking, skiing, hiking and exploring beautiful scenery.
