Culinary Arts

  • RHS’s award-winning Culinary Arts program is bursting at the seams. Students are vying to be selected for one of the 60 spaces available in the program. The Culinary Arts program is housed at RHS with a state-of-the-art million-dollar kitchen space, which includes a fully stocked pantry, freezer and locker room and student-run restaurant, known as Loft 901. It is the result of a 2007 bond issue that has created a truly engaging learning environment for students.


    Loft 901 with its Bistro-style chairs and white tablecloth covered tables, the café on the school’s second-floor is reminiscent of an outdoor dining scene in France. Students become the chef and wait staff during different venues including catered lunches, a morning café, and Friday lunches during the second semester.


    Not only is the program an award-winning program, students leave with a solid foundation in culinary arts which is recognized by higher education programs. Several of the programs students attend Culinary Arts programs after graduation.
