The varsity cross-country team competed at the Regional cross-country championship at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie on Tuesday October 24th. The girls finished 11th in the region and the boys finished 14th. Although none of our teams qualified, we did have one individual that did make the cut and punch his ticket to the state meet, Cristian Barron. He was the 10th place individual to qualify. They only take the top 10 individuals not on the 3 qualifying teams. We had a great season and Cristian will compete at the state meet on Saturday November 4th at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock at 9:15 am. Congratulate the teams on a successful season and Cristian for qualifying for the state meet. This is quite an accomplishment out of our region!
