• Geometry Late Work and Re-Do Policy

Daily Grades: 40% of the Term Grade

Homework will be graded on a weekly basis.  Make up work may have adjusted due dates according to the RISD grading policy.

Skill Checks: Students will be allowed to use notes on most skill checks. If a student fails a Skill Check and then later shows mastery of the content on the Unit Test, the grade may be adjusted automatically, to a maximum of 70%.

Test Grades: 60% of the Term Grade

Test grades, per district policy, may be corrected if the grade is below 70%. The correction process for unit tests is as follows:

    1) Students will be required to identify in writing the mistakes that they have made, indicate in writing how they should have answered the question, and solve those problems correctly showing all steps. Students may use their own notes or examples, explanations and videos from the textbook, or their teacher's online resources.

    2) Reteaching must occur before corrections begin.

    3) The grade for the corrections will replace the original grade, up to a maximum score of 70%. In the event that a student does not show improvement, the grade will not be changed. There will be no additional retests or corrections.
