    Geometry Course Information 

    Classroom Expectations and Consequences for Violation:

    • Smartphones & Tablets may be used in class, at teacher discretion

    • If you don’t have one, and it is necessary for the activity, we will have laptops or Chromebooks available

    • Please ONLY use your device to HELP your learning

    • Academic Dishonesty (cheating) WILL NOT BE TOLERATED

    What’s in a Unit? 

    Most units are divided into 2 sub-units. Each sub-unit will have a packet that includes...

    • New vocabulary and formulas

    • Notes about new concepts

    • Example problems with solutions

    • Homework assignments, for practicing required skills

    • Step-by-step instructions for Geometric constructions

    • Guidelines for hands-on ‘geometric experiments’ and technology activities

     

    Each unit will also include...

    • Skill Checks, to gauge student progress

    • Unit test and/or major project for assessment

     

    Required Supplies:

    • Pencil & eraser

    • Highlighter (we recommend 2 colors)

    • 3-ring binder for packets and assignment (1 or 1.5 inch)

    • Notebook paper and/or graph paper for assignments (unless done electronically)

     

    Recommended at home:

    • Graphing calculator

    • Compass, protractor, & ruler
