High school nationals

The Senior National Meet is back!

This is the 3rd year to hold a new senior national meet.  The hope is that this meet can reach the type of competition we use to see in the 90's when there would be 20+ states represented.  More information will be sent out as I get it.  But for now, here is what I know:

Meet date: May 17th, 18th

Meet site: Arizona State University

Cost: $100 entry fee, $100 USAG registration fee, travel, hotel, etc...  (YIKES!) *We can check with Jacket backers to request sponsorship for some of the funds.  Our own account should be able to pay for entry fee and/or USAG registration fee (None of that is confirmed yet)

Competitors: Well, this one is complicated...  As I understand it, anyone can go and compete.  However, the thing that always made this special in the past is to form a High School Team Texas.  I believe this is still the plan.  That means that at our state meet, they will announce those who will represent Team Texas for this meet.  Anyone that does not make the team can still go and compete as an individual.  This would also include our JO athletes as well (seniors only)!  Other states can invite any/all senior gymnasts to attend and form a team.  Some states do not have high school gymnastics, but they do have club gymnastics.  We should be able to see more teams with time.
