Mike Spradlin Era Begins At Rockwall-Heath High School

Mike Spradlin comes to us with successful head coaching experiences at Temple High School, Abilene Cooper High School, Round Rock Westwood High School, and Navasota High School. Coach Spradlin has also served as Assistant Coach for the University of Houston. In addition, Coach Spradlin’s most recent role was to lead Magnolia ISD as Athletic Director. Coach Spradlin earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Houston where he played football for the Cougars. Mike Spradlin’s experiences include:

 Head Football Coach Temple High School with a 44-17 record and District Championships in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

 District Coach of the Year 2013, 2014, and 2015 with state playoff finalist experience in 2014 and state playoff quarter finalist experience in 2015.

 Athletic Director and Head Football Coach for Abilene Cooper where his team reached the third round of playoffs 2008, 2009, 2010 and winning district championships in 2009 and 2010.

 Offensive Line Coach at the University of Houston taking the Cougars to a bowl game in the first season for the first time in seven years.

 Magnolia ISD Director of Athletics leading all team sports towards excellence.

 Throughout his career, Coach Spradlin has led and developed strong academic excellence programs for all athletes to be successful in both middle schools and high schools.

• District Coach of the Year eight times in his career.

• Life member of THSCA, member of THSADA, AFCA, NIAAA and is a certified athletic administrator.
