Rockwall ISD Board Approves Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP)

On October 18, 2022, the Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the Rockwall High School and Rockwall-Heath High School Ninth Grade Campuses in the total amount of $183,912,578.00.  The District’s construction management team – coordinating with the architectural consultant firm and the construction manager – has worked diligently over the past several months to reduce the total overall cost of these new facilities while still delivering on the concept presented to voters in November 2021.

The GMP approved by the Board of Trustees includes final design elements for both sites that include an approximate 193,000 square feet new building, parking, on-site and off-site roadways, multiple gymnasiums, multiple practice fields, in addition to many other amenities that provide a wonderful educational environment for District students.

The District anticipates the start of construction to begin later this year in 2022 with a final estimated completion date of July 2024.  The new Ninth Grade Campuses are projected to open for students in August 2024.
