Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees Host Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Ninth Grade Campuses

The Board of Trustees, District Leadership and Campus Administration hosted groundbreaking ceremonies at both of the New Ninth Grade Campuses on May 17, 2023.

It was an exciting day for Rockwall High School and Rockwall-Heath High School as the District broke ground for their new Ninth Grade Campus.  Current seventh grade students from J.W. Williams Middle School, Maurine Cain Middle School and Herman E. Utley Middle School spoke about what they look forward to when they become the first students to attend these campuses.

Also in attendance were representatives from the Bond Steering Committee that worked on developing the bond proposition ultimately recommended to the Board of Trustees in 2021.  Additionally, community and city representatives were also in attendance and the District very much appreciated their partnership and support.
