Rockwall ISD Board Approves Site Selection
On May 16, 2022, the District’s Leadership team presented the Board of Trustees a recommendation to approve the site selection for the construction of the future Rockwall ISD Middle School #4.The District currently owns an appropriate-sized middle school site of which is approximately 49.5 +/- acres located on the northeast corner of Rochelle Road and Gettysburg Boulevard.
Of the many factors considered in determining the best site location for the future Middle School #4 included the intent to provide enrollment relief to Maurine Cain Middle School and provide for a second middle school to service the south side of Interstate 30. This would allow Rockwall ISD to provide for “pure” feeder patterns from Kindergarten through the 12th grades and avoid any “splits” in grade levels as students graduate through the system.
