The Board of Trustees, District Leadership and Campus Administration hosted a beam-signing ceremony for the New Amanda Rochell Elementary School on November 10, 2023.
It was an exciting day for Rockwall ISD and Amanda Rochell Elementary school staff, students, parents and alumni as the District celebrated the construction of the new 85,000 square foot facility that will carry on the legacy of Amanda Rochell. The new school is being constructed on the same site as the current building and is scheduled to be open in August of 2024.
Also in attendance were representatives from the Bond Steering Committee that worked on developing the bond proposition ultimately recommended to the Board of Trustees in 2021. Additionally, community and city representatives were in attendance and the District very much appreciates their partnership and support.
