Rockwall ISD Board Approves Hiring of Utley Middle School Principal

The Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Kristin Marceau as the Utley Middle School principal.

Ms. Marceau joins the team with 17 years of experience in public education. Most recently, she has served as the Associate Principal of Student Services at Rockwall-Heath High School for the past five years. She has previously served as an assistant principal, English teacher/coach and English department chair at Rockwall-Heath High School. Additionally, she served four years in Leander ISD.

Ms. Marceau earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver, principal certification from the University of Texas at Tyler, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Studies from the University of Connecticut. She has also served as a curriculum writer and consultant.

Ms. Marceau’s professional experiences and accomplishments include the following:

·         Extensive experience in the effective leadership and implementation of safety and security protocols;

·         Skilled facilitator of the Professional Learning Communities (PLC) process;

·         Presenter at numerous local and state conferences;

·         Served on the 2021 Rockwall ISD bond planning committee;

·         Earned the Lean Management Green Belt Certification, and

·         Successfully designed and implemented campus-wide systems for positive student behavior.
