Rockwall HS and Rockwall-Heath HS Compete at District UIL Academics Competition

District 11-6A recently held its district-level UIL Academics competition where the UIL Academics Teams from Rockwall HS and Rockwall-Heath HS competed.

 

Individual Results:

 

In Accounting, Sydney Peveler from Rockwall HS earned first place.

 

In Current Issues, Chris Rodriguez from Rockwall-Heath HS earned first place and Sofia Rodriguez from Rockwall-Heath HS earned second place.

 

In Computer Science, Jacob Wood from Rockwall-Heath HS earned first place and Jan Morgenstern from Rockwall-Heath HS earned second place.

 

In Mathematics, Joseph Yeh from Rockwall HS earned third place.

 

In Ready Writing, Hugo Vizcaya-Zingg from Rockwall HS earned first place and Noella Barron from Rockwall HS earned second place.

 

In Spelling and Vocabulary, Connor Stasiak from Rockwall HS earned first place and Rachel Varnan from Rockwall HS earned second place.

 

These students will advance to the Region II, 6A UIL Academic Competition held at Baylor University in April.

 

 

Results from team events:

 

The Rockwall-Heath HS Current Issues team earned second place.

 

The Rockwall-Heath HS Computer Science team earned first place.

 

The Rockwall HS Spelling and Vocabulary team earned first place.
