Third grade gifted and talented students from across Rockwall ISD recently came together to create Rube Goldberg machines. They must work together as a team to create a unique working machine that will move a toilet paper roll at least six inches. The finished machine must have at least six different exchanges to be successful.
Groups of students were given a container of random items with which to build. Each group had the same assortment of items to use in their design. They had three hours to build, modify and test their machines.
