January is School Board Recognition Month, and we would like to thank our amazing board of trustees for their dedication and commitment to our students, staff and community. Our board members volunteer their time to serve the needs of our district and we truly appreciate their involvement in nurturing and growing the best district in Texas.
Trustee Jim White has served on the Board of Trustees since 2013 and currently serves as the board secretary. Mr. White said Rockwall ISD contributed to enriching his life so much that he moved back to Rockwall once his children were school aged so they could have the same experiences and opportunities he had growing up. It's also why he chose to serve as a board member — to ensure other children have a bright future. Mr. White said one of his favorite occasions is graduation and seeing students receive their diploma.
