Amy Parks-Heath Elementary Student Wins 1st Place In Cotton Bowl Art Contest

Fourth grade student Adeline B. from Amy Parks-Heath Elementary won first place in her category in the 2023 Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest.

Representatives from the Goodyear Cotton Bowl made a surprise visit to Amy Parks-Heath Elementary to announce the winner. Last year, Adeline won second place in her category and said she's excited to win first place this year.

Adeline received a framed version of her artwork and it will also be displayed at AT&T Stadium where the annual Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic college football game is held. She also received tickets to the game and will be recognized on the field during halftime along with her art teacher Amber Denton. Mrs. Denton received an award of $500 to go toward art supplies for submitting at least 50 entries and an additional $500 for the winning entry.

For more than three decades, the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest has invited first through sixth grade students across North Texas to enter a drawing that represents the Cotton Bowl Classic.
