Congratulations to Stella B., sixth grader at Sharon Shannon Elementary! Each year, students submit their holiday artwork for the Rockwall ISD Holiday Card Contest. Our elementary schools select a campus winner to be considered for the District contest. This year's theme was "Holiday in Texas," and the competition was stiff!
Stella, along with Principal Laurie Branch and Art Teacher Jessica Salazar, were recognized at the December regular board meeting for her winning artwork. Stella was presented with a canvas, ornament, and holiday cards of her drawing. Her artwork will also be the official District holiday card sent to community and civic leaders, school namesakes, and former District administration.
