Nebbie Williams Elementary has been selected to receive a $10,000 Gold Award on behalf of the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) to update and expand its robotics program and STEAMakers lab led by library media specialist Lauren Milam. This grant will purchase ten new Vex Generation 2 Kits for competition teams for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. It will also provide new Lego Essential Education Kits to expose first, second, and third graders to robotics for the first time. The school's goal is to provide all Nebbie students with innovative learning experiences and inspire future career aspirations in science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
