High School DECA Students Advance to International Competition in April

Congratulations to the three Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy DECA who are state finalists and two students advancing to Internationals!

Twenty-three students competed against more than 6,000 students at the DECA State competition. Three seniors were named state finalists and two are advancing as International Qualifiers to compete at the DECA International Competition in Anaheim, CA, this April.

DECA Advisors: Mrs. Dori Brown and Mrs. Alisha Bridges, GBCCA

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, management, entrepreneurship and hospitality in high schools and colleges around the globe. The International Qualifiers will now work to improve their knowledge and application of learning for their exam and role-play performances for their marketing communications event at the International Competition (ICDC) representing Rockwall ISD and Texas!
