Alison Belliveau, CTE Executive Director and Principal at the Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Association for Career and Technical Education, the nation’s largest organization dedicated to advancing career and technical education.
DECA Students Earn District Championships, Advance to State
Congratulations to the 28 outstanding DECA students who earned District Champion honors and qualified for the DECA State Competition after competing against more than 2,300 students from 48 schools at the District Conference.

Congratulations to Eshaan Gulati, 7th-grade student from Maurine Cain Middle School, who won first place in the Rockwall County Spelling Bee! Eshaan will represent Rockwall ISD in the regional spelling bee in March.

Rockwall High School senior and student council president Max Watson completed the National Association of Student Councils (NASC) Distinguished Student Leader Program, earning national recognition as a Distinguished Student Leader. NASC is administered by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).

Rockwall High School’s student council advisor, Tim Watson, has been named the Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) District 3 Advisor of the Year.
