• Student Teaching and Classroom Observations

Rockwall ISD is proud to partner with local universities and certification programs to provide opportunities for aspiring educators to learn and observe in our classrooms. We will do our best to place all candidates.

All Student Teachers and Student Observers need to consent to a criminal background check.  Once it has cleared, you will be sent a Fast Pass with instructions on how to become fingerprinted, a mandatory requirement.  You must be fingerprint complete by the deadlines listed below.  Failure to do so may result in dismissal of your request.

The student and the University or Service Center will be notified once placement has been approved, or if we are unable to place a Student Teacher/Observer in their requested field.  We will provide the name of the assigned campus along with the principal and teacher’s name, school phone number, and email address.  The Student Teacher/Observer is responsible for communicating with the campus in a timely manner to schedule his/her program and or classroom observation requirements.
