English as a Second Language

ESL

English as a Second Language (ESL) is a content-based intensive language instruction program. Instruction is offered in English only, for English Learners in Prekindergarten-12th grade, while integrating the use of second language acquisition methods. Depending on the language need of the students, they are served in either a Pull-Out, Inclusion, Content-based, and/or Co-Teach model. The ESL program is offered at every campus in Rockwall ISD.
